1. Tata 

TATA PAKISTAN is committed to eradicating education barriers in the country. As a result, the corporation regularly donates to several institutions. A few of them include Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, the Textile Institute of Pakistan, The Citizens Foundation, and the USC Alumni Association among others.

Also, the enterprise seeks to establish effective health systems by making health care available to all patients, regardless of their capacity to pay, without discrimination. Some of the hospitals that receive donations from Tata include Agha Khan Hospital, SIUT, Dow, and the University Of Health Sciences.

2. Parco

Parco processes and manages hydrocarbons which comes with several risks. Hence, the company seeks to minimize and mitigate circumstances that may endanger the health and safety of its employees, customers, service providers, communities, the general public, and the environment.

Generally, Parco’s technological, social, and environmental projects embrace diversity. By and large, the enterprise continues to adopt measures that ensure it provides energy responsibly.

The company partnered with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Pakistan under the tagline ‘Protecting Environment, Protecting Life’ to raise environmental awareness. The goal is to protect the country’s Wetland Centers.

In addition, Getz Pharma has sponsored three competitions in partnership with WWF and Agha’s Sportfishing to promote marine sports, ethical and environmentally sustainable sport fishing, and their influence on marine life.

The enterprise also collaborates with local communities, governments, NGOs, and healthcare experts to provide access to high-quality healthcare facilities and systems.

4. PSO Pakistan 

PSO’s socially responsible initiatives revolve around the company’s fundamental values of Caring and Giving.

By and large, PSO leverages its massive scale of operations to positively benefit poor people nationwide, particularly in the communities where it operates. Some of the enterprise social projects include: providing assistance to earthquake victims, establishing a primary healthcare unit with medical personnel, and providing healthcare to communities.

PSO constructed 50 community water filters for earthquake victims in Harnai, Balochistan. Also, the enterprise held a blood donation drive in collaboration with The Indus Hospital and its corporate employees.

5. Servis Group

The enterprise funds low-income individuals’ treatment at SIHS. Also, Servis Group fund scholarship programs at SIHS’s medical college. Through its foundation, the enterprise established a school for low-income kids. The Bagh-e-Rehmat School has about 400 students and a reputation in the community for excellence.

6. Pak China 

Pak China’s CSR programs focus on uplifting communities and contributing to society’s social well-being through education, health, livelihood, and infrastructure development.

The enterprise donates actively to Park School in Islamabad which seeks to educate underprivileged youngsters from slum regions. Also, in 2022, Pak China donated flood relief items to assist the government in its national recovery efforts.

7. Lucky Cement 

Lucky Cement supports a variety of social and humanitarian organizations, including health, education, and social sectors. The company also provides support to hospitals and charity organizations. Lucky Cement is known for its frequent funding of the Aziz Tabba Foundation, one of Pakistan’s most notable humanitarian organizations.

Also, the company contributes to two of the country’s premier healthcare institutes, Tabba Heart Institute and Tabba Kidney Institute. Other socially responsible initiatives include the treatment of blind children through the Pakistan Welfare Association of the Blind and providing funds to Government Girl’s schools among others.

8. PTC 

PTC, since its inception in 1981, has planted over 75 million trees. The company currently operates five nurseries in Islamabad that offer free saplings to the public. In addition, PTC delivers over 3 million seedlings each year.

The company signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the KPK Irrigation Department. As a result, over four generator sets were delivered to support lift irrigation projects with continuous irrigation water availability. Three of these generator sets were installed for tube wells.

The project encompasses over 1,000 hectares of land and makes available sufficient water supply and thus farm output in the region.

9. Shezan 

Shezan provides support for the welfare and rehabilitation of disabled people. The company places a special emphasis on the hiring of debilitated individuals in accordance with the “Employment and Rehabilitation Ordinance, 1981.”

Also, to ensure the protection of deserving individuals, Shezan established a policy to address the hiring process, including the assignment of a special quota in accordance with the relevant ordinance.

The company strives for eco-efficiency by optimizing resource use, conserving energy, and avoiding environmental, employee, and public harm.

10. GSK Pakistan 

GSK Pakistan leverages 13 commitments to support its Trust priority across three emphasis areas. Also, in 2020, the company announced new environmental sustainability goals. Essentially, the goal is to have a net zero impact on climate and a net positive impact on wildlife by 2030.

Likewise, GSK’s climate action plan aims to achieve 100% renewable electricity by 2025. And by 2030, the company hopes to cut carbon emissions by 80% and invest in nature-based solutions to offset the remaining 20% of its footprint.

Overall, GSK seeks to achieve net zero emission across its entire value chain by 2045.
